    If you would like a prompter – here are some things that you could do to help you stay under control:

    Finance.

    • Update all jobbing statuses

    • Reconcile your bank statement

    • Timesheets & Payroll

    • Update your Work In Progress

    • Draft and send all invoices from last week

    • Look at staff timesheet reports

    • Is there any extra invoicing you need to do (do your numbers match KPI's)

    Operations

    • Plan your week and what needs doing

    • Admin and scheduling meeting with key staff

    • Update all variations on Work In Progress

    • Ordering - Order all materials necessary

    • Check in on project managers and timelines for current jobs

    • Staff training and activities

    • Weekly stock management

    • Check your returns and credits

    • Check in with Subbies and give updates

    Sales

    • Do Marketing

    • Quotes up to date

    • Site visits necessary

    • Sales calls

    • Follow up on active quotes

    • Update all variations

    Management

    • Carry out weekly plan

    • Learn something

    • Check roles and routines

    • Do your strategic and development activities.

    • Close off your accounts

    • Check & load your wholesaler statements (Accounts payable)

    • Update your Work In Progress

    • Run your reports (Profit & Loss, Income by Contact, Labour, Aged Receivables, Aged Payables)

    • Look at your business performance - KPI’s & Benchmarks

    • Is there any extra invoicing you need to do (do your numbers match KPI's)

    Operations

    • Plan your month and what needs doing

    • Book in meetings with key customers to discuss load

    • Update all variations on Work In Progress

    • Schedule your next 2-3 months

    • Check in on your key customers

    • Run your staff performance and staff satisfaction

    • Check your stock levels (vehicles, jobs and store)

    • Check your returns and credits

    • Give positive feedback to staff where valuable

    • Where necessary give critical feedback to staff

    • Check in on your staff welfare and engagement

    • Plan training

    • Check in with Suppliers - give updates

    • Check in with Subbies and give updates

    Sales

    • Plan marketing

    • Load all works you have had accepted (guestimate where necessary)

    • Review Sold workload vs staff capacity for next 8 3 months

    • Plan sales

    • Take a key customer to lunch

    • Check in on your customer satisfaction
